Mexico City is the biggest bullfighting city in the largest bullfighting country in the world. On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, a monumental change for the better has finally occurred for the bulls. Lawmakers overwhelmingly voted a 61-1 vote to ban traditional bullfighting, which will prohibit the killing of bulls and the use of sharp objects that could injure the animals! The bullfighting show can still go on, but without the blood and violence it always used to accompany this sport.
